Fixed-Fee Construction Estimating & Tender Preparation
For clients who prefer certainty over hourly or daily billing, we offer a fixed-fee construction estimating and tender preparation service. This approach provides complete transparency on costs before work begins, allowing you to budget with confidence and manage project cash flow more effectively.
How It Works
Every project is individually assessed to determine the scope and complexity of the work required. We begin by reviewing the tender documentation and categorising the project as one of the following:
Easy – Straightforward projects with limited complexity and a relatively low level of estimating and tender preparation.
Medium – Projects requiring a greater level of analysis, coordination, pricing, and documentation.
Hard – Complex or large-scale projects involving significant estimating input, specialist coordination, multiple work packages, or extensive tender documentation.
Following this assessment, we:
Estimate the number of days required to complete the tender preparation.
Identify any reasonable project-related expenses likely to be incurred.
Include the cost of any necessary third-party services, regardless of their nature, such as specialist designs, drawings, surveys, engineering input, or other professional services.
Prepare a comprehensive fixed quotation covering the agreed scope of services.
Once accepted, the quoted fee becomes the agreed price for delivering the specified estimating and tender preparation services.
Benefits of a Fixed-Fee Service
Our fixed-fee model provides several advantages:
Complete cost certainty before work commences.
Improved cash flow planning, with no unexpected daily charges or variable estimating costs.
Transparent pricing, with all anticipated expenses and third-party costs identified within the quotation where reasonably foreseeable.
Greater budgeting confidence, allowing you to accurately forecast tendering costs as part of your project overheads.
A clearly defined scope of services, ensuring both parties understand what is included in the agreed fee.
Should the project scope change significantly after the quotation has been accepted—for example, through revised tender documents, additional work packages, or changes to the client's requirements—we will discuss the impact with you and agree any necessary adjustments before undertaking the additional work.
Our objective is to provide a dependable, transparent, and commercially focused estimating service that enables you to pursue new opportunities while maintaining full control over your tendering costs.
