Bellewood Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.
We are also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners, and as part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high standards.
Our onboarding process for new members has four stages;
1.
Expression of Interest
All new potential members of our supply-chain must submit an expression of interest to Bellewood for consideration and due diligence. At this stage, we carry out an initial screening of each applicant to determine their suitability to be invited to complete our onboarding process.
You can submit your interest by completing this EOI Form
2.
Invitation to Apply
After initial Expression of Interest has been reviewed, applicants must receive an ‘Invitation to Apply’ from us to progress on next stage of their application.
-
An ‘Invitation to Apply’ process is put in place to ensure that we can filter the amount of companies that want to work with us.
Whilst Bellewood is committed to train, develop and support all levels of talent in our industry, it is important for us to consider having some minimum requirements to ensure we are working in our client’s and their projects’ best interest.
It take valuable time and effort to create a working partnership between two companies and Bellewood is committed to signing up firms and individuals who have passion for what we do and also hold similar values and are already operating in some-what a similar manner to us.
If you have not had your Invitation to Apply within 14 days of submitting your interest, please note, we may have decided that the opportunity may not be suitable for us. If however we feel there is potential in developing and training you; then we may get in contact at our discretion for further dialogue before an official Invitation to Apply is given.
Pre-Qualification Process
3.
Nominated applicants fill out our Vendor Appraisal Form which aims to explore their commitment to industry best practices. At this stage, applicants undergo stringent risk assessment where their company, financial, and operational structure including their insurances, compliance and health and safety records and expertise are analysed. We also require applicants to submit their policies, procedures and case studies to ensure maximum delivery of our commitments and promises to our clients. Certain applicants may be asked to supply references.
-
If our review of your return is unsatisfactory, we may at our discretion contact you for further information or a timeframe to implement key changes to your business policies and procedures.
If however you were unable to satisfy our requirements, we may summarise reasons and guide you on further need for improvements before you are given a chance to reapply.
Please note, where our decision to not onboard you is final, you may need to wait 6 months before re-applying. In such cases, you will also need to resubmit your EOI.
4.
Welcome Meeting
All successful applicants must take part in promising a total commitment to delivering works in-line with our values. Here, members acknowledge that they are now suppliers to a company which has a simple goal i.e. perfect delivery of projects in all aspects.
-
After a successful onboarding process, you may be invited to a face-to-face or virtual meeting with our Managing Director who will give you a final welcome pack containing a Certificate of Compliance with Bellewood’s values, explain what it means to be part of Bellewood’s supply-chain and also explain our monitoring and disciplinary processes.
After this meeting, you will expect to start receiving official work enquiries from us.
